Today I was very surprised by excellent customer service. So here is a little shout out to my friends at UPS. On Dec. 19 our mountain enjoyed the dumping of about 2- feet of snow. It covered the mountain road, our driveway, our cars, you name it. We’re very lucky that VDOT came out and plowed the mountain road on Sunday night, but the roads are still very icy and our driveway is pretty much untouched.I’ve done a terrible job of planning for Christmas this year. So at the last possible minute I started ordering gifts. Most arrived before the snowpocalypse, but one box hadn’t shown up. And it contained stuff that I needed to ship to my parents. I’ve been stressing about it since the snow.
On Dec. 18, UPS.com showed that the packages had left the depot in IL, but by Monday night there was no update and I was getting worried. Even if the package did make it to the local depot I couldn’t imagine it making it to the house in the snow.
This morning, UPS.com showed that the package was on the UPS truck and in route. I was still skeptical. Around 10:30AM, an SUV drove up our icy road and into the driveway. Who was it? None other than UPS – two UPS guys in an SUV with my packages. Classic.
So, UPS, thank you so much for ensuring our happy Christmas by getting our packages to us despite the snow and ice! You truly went above and beyond.
