FYI–my store (so I believe all of them) is have a 50% off sale for Black Friday if you come between 430am and 559 am. I think it is worth fighting the crowds!

Hi Jared – Glad that my story helped you out. I can say that after 2 years, the sactional is still working out swimmingly. Since we purchased it, the dogs have laid all over it, we’ve spilled everything known to man on it and moved it all over the room. And its’ really held up well. I’ve stripped it down and washed the covers several times and they look almost the same as when we bought it. The covers colors have stayed true. One thing that I would recommend is fluffing the base cushions from time to time. They tend to mold themselves based on the way that you sit and since they are velcroed in place, the strips tend to not line up properly. But if you given them a good beating here and there the strips seem to line up properly. The only real “wear” issues I’ve had is with some of the stitching on the cushions, but it has been pretty nominal and LoveSac has been good about replacing any that were “faulty.”

The cushions are still comfortable and it gets used by everyone (two-legged and four-legged) in our house daily.

I’m actually considering buying a smaller version for a small office with narrow doors because I know I can fit them through the doorway (and hey – they are chic and comfortable!)

Beth, your review has been INVALUABLE at aiding my indecision about what type of furniture to get for my apartment!! I’d seen sacationals at the store, but have never met anyone who owns them and prior to this hadn’t been able to find a worthwhile review. I LOVE the modularity of these so not only would hauling them up 3 flights of stairs to my apartment not be a 3-4 person job, but I’d be able to re-arrange them depending on my current needs.

I’m still slightly on the fence, though, wondering how well these hold up over time. I know you’ve been asked this before, but now that it’s been nearly 2 years since your initial purchase, how are they? Are the cousions still firm? Any regrets yet? As they’re a bit on a pricey side, I want to make sure that if I make the investment that they’re going to be worth it in the long run. Thanks!

Hey Craig – yeah – I hate clinging to things too. I tend to be a staticky person in a staticky house…but I’ve never noticed the sactional as being particularly staticky. Not sure how to rid items of static (maybe rub it down with a dryer sheet?) But, since I am really sensitive to static, I’ve never found it to be an issue. Still love my sactional. Actually washed all the covers as part of spring cleaning and they washed up great and didn’t lose any color.

I’m glad to see some opinions about the sactionals. I may order one very soon. However, when I here that they can be very staticly charged, it makes we wonder about the comfort factor. I hate clinging to things. Does anyone have an answer to this? Is there a way to rid the static?

Hey Josh – no news is good news right? =) We still love the sactional. We are going to strip off all the covers in the next week or two for a good wash. Our dogs have been slobbering all over them so they need to be cleaned. We’ve had a few issues with the seams coming loose, but we contacted Lovesac and they replaced the covers under warranty. No biggie – they were very helpful.

We’ve added a couple of pieces to make it a little bigger. The cushions are still really comfortable. All-in-all, we’re super happy with the purchase.

In terms of sales and promotions, I would suggest that you become their fan on Facebook as they have a lot of “one-day-only” and “Facebook exclusive” promotions – http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000191615107. Same for Twitter – http://twitter.com/Lovesac. They run corporate sales as well as store sales all the time. I think they also have an e-newsletter that might be worth joining.

Thank you for posting your review on the sactional…I am really interested in getting one and to this point I haven’t been able to find any solid reviews online. I noticed your last blog was from December and was wondering if there was anything worth mentioning since then (issues/problems/praises). I am set with the task of selling my wife on it, also since you seem to know quite a bit about lovesac, is there a better/worse time to purchase one? Do they run yearly sales? I did find a promo code online for 10% off is that standard?

We love it so far! Here’s a photo of our configuration: http://twitpic.com/ugqaa It’s still naked (waiting for our charcoal and lime covers to come in) but it’s fantastic. We’ve left our extra base loose for now to move to wherever we’re sitting, and it’s a little cramped with our little tree, but it’s fantastic. I was worried with how secure it would feel but it absolutely feels just like a regular sofa. You can’t even tell they’re separate pieces, even when you know they are!

I’m absolutely in love. I can’t WAIT until our microsuede slipcovers come in, but even naked the taupe isn’t bad. Our cats Pippin and Merry love it too, and it’s easy to get the cat hair off—BONUS!
