So, I’ll admit that I am not on Second Life. I have an addictive personality and I’m afraid that this is a time suck that I don’t need. I’ve done the Ultima Online and World of Warcraft thing – I’ve learned my limits. Then I watched this video on CNBC on how people have grown their RL business and brand by being “in world” a gazillion hours a day. Check out the woman at the end – $35K to $85K just by starting a business on Second Life. I feel like this video should have been followed by a “Results Not Typical” disclaimer that pops up on the Jenny Craig commercials. I’m willing to learn – is Second Life really that dynamic for business building? Should I take the time to check it out (and potentially be sucked in)? I’m often distracted by sparkly objects…
