Shift Communications has, what I think is, a great example of how to set-up a social media newsroom. One of the challenges that I come up against is leveraging and displaying all of my social media properties (Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace, etc.) effectively on a website. The social media newsroom is a great format for aggregating your properties in one place. Granted, there will be other areas of the site that logically compliment social media sites, I think its helpful to have a one-stop-shop where users can access all social media outlets. As a non-profit, GoodDogz.org has a lot of accounts (Change.org, Changents.com, Idealist.org, etc.). So, the newsroom makes it a little easier to offer links to these services from our site. And we are working this into the new version of the site. Are there any other examples of good social media newswooms out there? Has anyone found this particularly effective? Ineffective?
