SubscribeWe are considering moving all of our fundraising management to a company called QGiv. I met these guys at NTC this year and liked their product. Basically, they help non-profits aggregate their fundraising efforts into one neat package. They are PCI compliant and are audited regularly by a third party provider. Currently we use Just Give, FirstGiving.com, Paypal, a credit card processing company…you see the problem. So, as we re-launch the GoodDogz.org website, we are going to give QGiv a try. If you have any experience with this service, please let me know what you think!

Why Social Media?
Social: seeking or enjoying the companionship of others; friendly; sociable; gregarious.Media: the means of communication, as radio and television, newspapers, and magazines, that reach or influence people widely.
People need to be seen and heard. The world of social media provides a platform for people to communicate, engage in social movements and share ideas. It enables them to relate to each other in ways that they have never been able to before.
I believe that social media helps level the proverbial playing field between the "big" guys and the "little" guys in terms of marketing, fundraising and public exposure. Anyone can get involved, engage and excite their audience via social media outlets. But you need to have a plan.
