For organizations that want to take online payments, but don’t have the means to secure a credit card merchant account, JustGive.org is for you. Their website states that “JustGive is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to connect people with the charities and causes they care about and to increase overall giving.” This organization requires that non-profits have an active GuideStar.org profile in order to qualify for their service, thus validating that the non-profit is indeed legitimate. Then just slap a JustGive.org logo on your website or add your link to your emails. JustGive.org handles the transaction and sends your donor a receipt. It also provides reporting so that your organization can track your donations. Transactional fees were 3% at the time this post was written. That’s less than most credit card companies.
Donation page looks like this.
Tomorrow we’ll talk about GuideStar.org then (drum roll please)…our first social media tool.

Thanks for the tip! I am involved with Golden Retriever Rescue (GRREAT) and we are always looking for ways to allow online donations that don’t involve excessive fees.
